Many businesses have had their same branding and labels for years and they are some of the most recognized brands in the industry. Coca Cola, Huggies, Dr. Pepper and more are all label statements that have evolved through time, but are still easily recognized without the actual brand’s name.
So, when is it time to ditch the old and break out the new?
When Should I get a New Label?
Many things may trigger your business to strike up a new label. Here are a few instances where you should consider making a fresh start with a new label:
- You’ve Rebranded. With a name change, a label is definitely in order. Changing the look and feel of your logo, website and company name will make your old label seem underwhelming. If you choose to completely change your product and company, make sure the label isn’t left behind.
- Changes in Laws & Regulations. Recently, we wrote about the changes in FDA Labels. If your industry is constantly changing the rules behind what is and isn’t displayed on your label, a frequent label change may be in order.
- Just because. Sometimes we are ready for a change. Whether it’s the change in season or just a refreshing way of viewing our business, it’s nice to change things up a bit.
