One session at Louisville Salt Cave is like spending four days on the beach! You will breathe easier and feel relaxed after taking in air made clean by Pink Himalayan salt. People find that halotherapy, or salt therapy, benefits their respiratory, dermatological and mental health. By decreasing inflammation and the overproduction of mucus, the salt minerals in their salt cave will have you breathing clearly.
Therapy Session at Louisville Salt Cave
You might be wondering what salt therapy looks like. A session at Louisville Salt Cave consists of 45 minutes of relaxation in a zero gravity reclining chair inside the salt cave. The cave is dark and cool to facilitate a meditative and relaxed state. Taking in the pure salt air will have you feeling well-rested once your session is up. Since the cave’s temperature stays between 65 and 70 degrees, they encourage you to wear warm clothing and bring socks. Blankets are provided upon request. Negative ions produced by the high salt concentration in the cave will naturally boost your serotonin levels, which in turn will help you to feel more peaceful and leave your session with more energy. If you are busy like most of us, you can even get the benefits of salt therapy in a 30-minute session on your lunch break!
