For more than 60 years, the 1300-acre land of Foxhollow has transformed the lives of Janey Newton and her family. With a passion to promote health and wellness through their land, some of the old farm houses were transformed into a health spa and B&B. By 1992, the property was home to an alternative medical clinic and the old dairy barn was converted into a yoga studio. Foxhollow was quickly becoming a respite for the chronically ill and a retreat for those longing to connect with nature.
In 2006, the family’s commitment to take better care of the land motivated them to raising 100% grassfed beef, gradually building a herd that thrives solely on the Foxhollow land. The cattle now fertilizes the land as they simultaneously convert the Kentucky grasses into food, further promoting the mission of Foxhollow to create a thriving Biodynamic farm community by raising 100% grassfed beef, growing healthy food, and strengthening the relationship between human beings and nature. Foxhollow does this with the support of a team of people, acknowledging and cultivating intimate relationships with the environment that is both around us and inside us.
